Mapping is a language of understanding connections. Traditional genograms—pictorial family mapping used in clinical and social fields—serve as fingerprints of a family's emotional history. My work expands this lexicon; I have evolved these cartography symbols to represent social trauma, human rights violations, and the scars of disappearance.
